Introduction

The Sessions of Shahnameh Khani of Ferdosi Society have been held regularly since 1998. The aim of these sessions is to facilitate the reading and understanding of the Shahnameh. The Shahnameh is the great literary work of Ferdosi, the master poet, thinker, and humanitarian of the tenth century Iran. The text studied at these sessions is the copy edited by Dr. Djalal Khalegi Motlagh, a renowned life-long scholar of the Shahnameh

Since 1998, a group of individuals, interested in reading and understanding the Shahnameh, have been getting together regularly to do just that, read the Shahnameh - the great literary work of Ferdosi.
